Hannah Diaz, LCPC
Hi! I am Hannah Diaz, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland. I earned my B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Educational Studies from St. Mary's College of Maryland and my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hood College. I also earned a certificate in Thanatology, the study of death and dying.
During my graduate training at Hood College, I completed internships at the Neighborhood Counseling and Training Center and Playful Therapy Connections. At NCTC, I worked with young adults navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, and grief. At PTC, I supported children, adolescents, and families, helping clients navigate autistic experiences, anxiety, ADHD, anger, and grief.
I take an eclectic approach to therapy, integrating techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, and person-centered and strength-based approaches. I aim to help clients better understand and challenge unhelpful thought patterns while developing coping strategies that feel effective and sustainable.
I am LGBTQ+ affirming and sex-positive. I am particularly passionate about working with young adults and adults and have experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, stress, OCD, trauma, relationship concerns, and grief.
