Omnia Salem, LCPC

Hello, my name is Omnia Salem, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hood College. I have over five years of experience in community mental health.

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel comfortable being your authentic self, without judgment. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, collaborative, and LGBTQ+ affirming environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported. I see therapy as a partnership, and I believe you are the expert on your own life.

My Approach

As a bilingual therapist (English/Egyptian Arabic), I recognize that culture, family, identity, and life experiences can deeply shape how we see ourselves and navigate the world. I value incorporating these aspects of your identity into therapy when they are meaningful to you, and I believe that understanding the whole person is an essential part of the therapeutic process.

I work with individuals navigating:

  • Anxiety and Depression
  • Trauma and Life Transitions
  • Stress Management and Emotional Regulation
  • Concerns related to culture, identity, and self-discovery

My approach is primarily person-centered and integrates emotion-focused, strengths-based, and narrative therapies. I also draw from techniques learned through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), somatic approaches, and music therapy. I tailor therapy to each client's unique needs and goals because I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.

Outside of the Office

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with friends, traveling, reading, playing the Nintendo Switch, and hanging out with my dog and cat.friends, my dog and cat, traveling, reading, and playing Nintendo Switch."
