Omnia Salem, LGPC
Hello, my name is Omnia Salem. I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor practicingunder the supervision of Stephany Ponciano, LCPC. I earned my Master's degree in ClinicalMental Health Counseling and my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Hood College.
I have over five years of experience in community mental health and completed my clinical internship in a private practice setting. I view therapy as a collaborative process, working alongside clients to support their personal growth and help them achieve their goals. My approach integrates emotion-focused, strengths-based, and narrative therapies. I have also completed introductory training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, and music therapy.
I am particularly passionate about working with clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, stress management, life transitions, emotional regulation, and issues related to culture and identity. I strive to create a supportive and affirming environment that fosters healing and self-exploration.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy walking my dog, teaching my cat new tricks, spending time with friends, traveling, reading fiction books, watching superhero movies, and playing Nintendo Switch. I am also bilingual and fluent in Arabic.
