Tori Isleib, LGPC-Intern
Hi! My name is Tori Isleib and I am a counseling intern working towards my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Hood College. I received my bachelor's degree from Towson University in Family and Human Services with the specific track of services to children and youth. During my time there, I completed a workforce development internship at an arts-based and community nonprofit, where I worked with adults and adolescents. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults and have experience working in various school settings.
I have an eclectic approaching to my counseling style incorporating cognitive-behavioral, strengths-based, and attachment focused therapies. I am LGBTQ affirming and sex positive. I have also taken specialized courses in creativity in counseling and nature-informed therapy that have also allowed me to incorporate my own passion for the arts and nature into my practice.
Seeing how therapy has helped me and those around me, has instilled a passion for counseling. As a new counselor, I am looking forward to working collaboratively with clients and am always open to feedback. In my free time I enjoy spending time outside with my dog, reading, thrifting, and enjoying live music.
